About Hammond Land Development

Darryl Hammond, our owner and founder, moved to Texas from South Carolina in 2003. As an affiliate of Waterfront Communities, A North Carolina based regional sales and marketing company, Mr. Hammond was tasked with the responsibility for the acquisition, design, entitlement, construction and development of several large coastal projects. They were strategically located in Palacios, Port O’Connor, and Rockport, Texas on behalf of Waterfront Communities. 

These projects were laid across 15,000 acres of land and involved thousands of residential home sites along with the management of thousands of acres of ranch land that was held for future development. After the market changed in 2008, Mr Hammond was responsible for the management and development of and later the disposition of thousands of acres of ranch land. These properties were improved for private and public ownership purposes along the Texas Coast. These things were achieved thru team building and collaboration with other team members that were very talented and experienced in their individual fields.

Hammond Land Development was established in May of 2012 by Mr. Hammond as a Real Estate Development Company for the purposes of providing consulting services, maintenance services, and construction management services for private land owners, residential developments and commercial customers.
